Ministries & Outreach Programs

YOUTH & FAMILY MINISTRIES

Precious People Preschool We provide a safe, caring, stimulating atmosphere for children age 3-5 years old.

Elementary (grades 1-5) Children's Church on Sunday mornings during the 10:45 am service and age appropriate mission opportunities throughout the year.

Junior and Senior High (grades 6-12) Every Sunday night from 6:00-8:00 an amazing group of Junior and Senior High kids get together for a high energy time of fellowship, games, food, and teaching. Leave the stress of school & life at the door; come in to relax and have fun!

Family Fellowship Events throughout the year including movie nights, bowling, ice skating, visits to local attractions & more!

ADULT MINISTRIES

United Methodist Men for adult men, meets the third Sunday of the month for breakfast at 8:01 a.m. Speakers, fellowship, food and service are part of each meeting.

United Methodist Women for all women. UMW meets quarterly on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. for program, lunch and meeting. Our Ruth Circle meets the second Wednesday of each month at 11:30 for a sack lunch. The evening Lydia Circle meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

Senior Ministries:

Eldersgate Group is for any senior adult. This group meets the 4th Tuesday of most months from 12-2 p.m. Join us for programs, fellowship, and lunch. Reservations are required for the $3.00 lunch. Call 419-292-1004.

Folding Chair Theatre is for any adult interested in reading plays for entertainment; no memorization is required. This group meets on the 2nd Monday of the month at 1:30 p.m.

MUSIC MINISTRIES

Chancel Choir practices every Thursday evening at 7:10 p.m. For everyone who wants to praise God with song and desires the fellowship of a group of caring friends. Chancel Choir sings at the 10:45 am service every Sunday throughout the school year and on special occasions.

Hand Bell Choir practices every Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. For everyone who wants to praise God with music. New ringers are always appreciated. We play once or twice a quarter during the 10:45 am service. Some musical experience is helpful but not necessary to become a bell ringer.

JOY! Childrens Choir practices every Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m. For every child who wants to praise God with voice and song. We sing once a month plus a yearly Christmas musical.

HEALTH MINISTRIES

Parish Nursing focuses on the whole person to emphasize wellness, disease prevention and heath promotion, including healthy spirituality. We promote an understanding of the relationship between lifestyle attitudes, faith, and well being.

Body Better Exercise Group meets every Monday and Friday from 9:15 - 10:15 AM. Participants are guided by a professional
through exercises which are intended to promote whole body awareness, balance, and stretching. A quarterly fee is applicable.

The Grief Support Group meets once each month on the second Monday at 7:00 PM. Are you suffering from a personal loss and looking for relief and understanding? Come to our Grief Support group and find help and hope. And bring a friend or family member for encouragement.

HELP MINISTRIES

Stephen Ministry provides confidential Christian caring and a listening ear when circumstances become hard either through
bereavement, relationship issues, birth of a child, sickness, or loss of job. A call to one of our Stephen Leaders will connect you with a trained Stephen Minister.

Prayer Ministry We have a prayer group that meets regularly as well as a prayer chain which is operated both through e-mails and phone calls.

DeVeaux Elementary School Members of Aldersgate volunteer at the Library and we are working with the parents to support and care for the students and staff.

Green Team Keeps us focused on caring for our environment while encouraging us to reduce, reuse and recycle.
